Part of the Griffin family for over 90 years, Flat Broke Farms transitioned from a tobacco farm in the 70's to a cattle ranch to a working vegetable farm eight years ago.

John, a fourth generation farmer, installed the greenhouse 3 years ago to insure better quality of the plants. All the plants grown at Flat Broke Farms are grown from seed that has either been saved from year to year or has been grown by certified growers.

Flat Broke Farms supplies their naturally grown vegetables to local restaurants and other local retail outlets. They sell their plants in the spring and produce boxes in the summer and fall.
